Last night Keeshia and I went to see Les Claypool and his so-called "fancy band" perform in Chicago at the Vic Theatre, and it was fantastic. I just bought their brand new album, called In Rainbows. And the very first track, "15 Step," is in 5/4 time! I always loved how they can always seem to pull off unusual rhythms in very cool and subtle ways. And they've gotten pretty good at it, since "2 + 2 = 5" from Hail [...]
